I havent followed the camera's, but i too was wondering how long that has been sitting there.

Yes that does look like a winch spool, in reviewing some recent photos, it looks like it appeared about the time they were building these steel totem poles.
#msg-35626030 I didn't find it in any of the previous pictures.
