I have heard that any government project takes about 1/3 in administrative costs. How does that change your number? Yes, I know those are still jobs but I don't think that was the idea.

Calculation is still off.

Re: Keep in mind that Obama is citing White House estimates to come up with that number of 3.5M jobs. That figure almost certainly includes the jobs "created" from business generated via the sale of goods and raw materials.

Fair enough, but you're still overestimating the paychecks. I think Windsock is probably more accurate at estimating ~$70k per job.
