I dont remember high interest rates being a huge problem for my family as a kid. I do, however, remember my grandmother who had her life savings in the bank loosening up the purse strings and spending some of that cash she was making. It wasnt the end of the world then and it wont be if we return to 20% interest rates.
Ive been through so many boom and bust cycles now in my life now that it seems normal. I invest when everyone is crying mommy and I sell when everyone is poppin the champagne. Seriously, its no harder than fetching a stick like a dog. The patterns are the same over and over - just different times.
If I were you I wouldnt think that the world is ending and the absolute best investment is gold and silver
