The stock market was clearly in a massive overvalued bubble under Clinton. It's not a gage of anything when you had stocks that were trading for billions of dollars in market caps yet had no sales but a "dot com" with their name.

But it is funny how people want to talk about George Bush still while Obama does more screwups in one month than George Bush did in 8 years. George Bush is history. Might as well bring up George Washington while you're at it because nobody cares any more about the lame excuses to point backwards for Obama proving what a liar he is with his "vote for change you can believe in" garbage, as he does exactly what anybody with a brain knew he'd do -- cater to "old" most radical members of his party at the expense of the country.

The market, the country, and the world isn't having too much faith in his "spread the wealth around" braindead socialist ideas. Socialist regimes around the world depend 100% on our capitalism to make their systems look successful. With us going the socialist route, it's not looking too good.

That said, I think we'll pull out of this despite this idiot.

Bush was in a pickle because so much was riding on stock valuations the way now so much is riding on housing valuation. He walked into a stock market crash....trillions and trilliosn vanishing in thin air----HELLO!

At first you say, well let's let the free market work this out.
Bush could have let stocks find a fair value but corporate pensions and insurance companies would have dragged down the whole economy. We're now exactly right back where we started because the Bush economy was every bit as bogus as the Worldcom, Enron, Pets.com economy that everyone in the world bought into under Clinton.

I can't think of too much that Clinton created that Bush destroyed. Our policies of free trade, loose money and open borders are stupid and destructive. Changing the idiot in the White hose is irrelevant so long as we maintain those foolish ways.

Hi BOREALIS, economically, financially, and geopolitically, we were stronger with the Clinton administration even though a correction for markets was due when the Bush administration took over, it is clearly mismanagement of the last 8 years, especially with derivative and housing bubble/burst scheme to profit off of massive American wealth.

We need to march to Washington to protest against the war -- profiteering off of American middle class. Many are already slaughtered, but the grand scheme could be uglier than most of us thinks.
