They're going to be in an economic malaise until they either allow immigration or their fertility rate increases.
Realistically, it's going to take a long time before they turn things around. The cost of living is just too high for 20-somethings looking to be on their own. That will depress fertility rates for some time until things become more affordable.

This is also very interesting, for those who attempt to deify Obama and make Cheney into a Satan worshiper. Not saying Cheney is a great guy, but on this one point, he kicks Obama's proverbial butt.
How the liberals on here can shut down their minds and give Obama and Frank and Pelosi and their kind a pass on moving the country toward socialism, while they themselves are selfish, is unbelievable.

Tell me, IF those in Congress TRULY wanted to do what is best for the country, AND they wanted to correct the financial mess, they could not sit down with a pen, and mark off all the pork and only keep the parts that actually are job-creating and stimulus for the economy long-term? Any smart person reading this could take a few 12-hour days, and make sure the bill was sound. Saying "we have to do something quickly" is a cop-out, and only hides the hypocrisy of those in charge. A bunch of lazy, self-serving, elitists who think you and I are peons and morons.
