I hadn't followed GERN. It looks like both stocks are up in the 100% range in the last couple months. GERN filed a shelf late January. InterMune had one active from before their last offering. It looks like both companies didn't need cash for some time. I could see several reasons on speculating why InterMune did theirs but I wonder if this is just as much a reflection of CEO's raising cash when they can?
