How about stimulating the economy by direct aid to the states?

One of the very first things Bush did when he took office was to greatly diminish aid to the states in order to give those stupid tax cuts. Big mistake.

There is direct aid to the states in the plan.

Now that the republicans won't go along I suspect the tax cuts will go.

They were added to appease the republicans in the first place.
