First traditional waste disposal methods are very costly, and need acres of land. The MSW companies get paid by the City to remove the waste, this cost helps reduce the cost to produce the pellets.
It is now being done all over the world. Most companies are burning the pellets in burners, which is not efficient, and they are still making a profit selling electricity.
SSTP gasifies the pellets which creates more gas (fuel) for the turbines, which also creates much higher profits.
