We're not discussing the particulars of what the jailers did at Abu, we're discussing the stance that torture is acceptable if it saves the life of US personnel. My position is torture is unacceptable, no matter what the circumstances. And I don't consider this to be un-American, conversly, I consider it to represent the highest ideals of our social experiment -- America.
