#552 RE: Options2Wealth #551

Hi Contax
Just don't forget to Manage your portfolio according to risk. I looked through some of the stocks charts in your portfolio and saw a lot of Jan Effect or Pop n Drop stocks that reminded me a lot of how the otcbb market was back in 2000. Go ahead, take a look at the performance of the otcbb and the majority of it's stocks that had enormous success from Oct 1999 until May 2000 and then see how they performed the rest of the year as the overall market corrected through 2002. I had a few Buy them and forget about 'em stocks in 2000 that ended up being worthless within a year, actually still have some of them, and they Never came back. I am sure you are aware of how volatile the markets can be at times, especially the otcbb market, so I am just a bit concerned when I see a post were a short term loss has been near $5000. Was the balance of that NAV change due to the otcbb stocks, stocks with weak fundamentals or stocks that were downtrending? You need to keep a keen eye on stocks that might be reversing their trend and cull them out Before they can affect the overall performance of your portfolio. Don't wait for the Bounce as it may never happen, and if it does make sure to lock in your profit or break even. I think that the biggest thing I learned back in 2000 was that the markets Do Cycle and you need to be aware of when those cycles might happen, especially for the stocks you are trading. Most every other fund Manager out there pays attention to when the markets are favorable for investment and when they are not. If you want to have a profitable portfolio then why should you ignore the times of year when your stocks might outperform or underperform? You might want to take a look at the Seasonality Board #board-1616 and see if it might be something that will help you with your trade timing, maybe. I know that it is Your money and you can invest it anyway that you see fit. I just hope that you take into consideration All of the factors that might affect your funds performance. I wish you Much Success and a Profitable Year Contax!
Sincerely, Bob :^)
