Layoffs going forward will probably be massive. My local Target was empty Sunday. Talked to the manager and he told me he has seen a huge uptick in job applicants. Out of work adults unable to find a job are wanting positions he normally staffs with high shcool kids. He used the word "desperate" to describe those looking for jobs.
This is the early stage of Wall Street's greed hitting Main Street. I think of the job stats and the fact that if someone got a part-time job at Target, to put food on the table, they are no longer counted as unemployed.
