Initially every thing is in the form of blasted rocks/ore. The volume verses weight might be different but in every case they need to go through crushing and grinding plant like any other ore.The plant capacity should synchronize with feeding capacity to make the process economical.
In Oil Sand projects a 300ton dump truck is loaded by a shovel of 50 ton of bucket capacity in just 10 to 15 minute appx. If we consider the possibility of instating processing plant at the mouth of mine. In that case we can delete the haulage equipment. Only a loader can feed into the crusher hopper. But possibility of such scenario seems remote since the plant of that capacity needs a high ramp with more then one crushers and several conveyors. Therefore operation cycle will not complete without dump trucks. Just imagine that we are talking 1.2milluion financing in the face of tens of millions needed to buy and install that type of equipment.
