I'm trying to figure this out:
Not too thrilled if it was an in-kind distribution 'as of' Dec 31.
I take it that means shares were distributed to the shareholders and not cash but exactly when? how do we know other than it was by Dec 31?
Guess if the people wanted the shares directly they are more inclined to hold them vs taking cash?
Then again if they have had their $ in a fund previously they may want to liquidate shares in a specific company like DAAT to go baclk to fund investing. Hard to know.
I'm just trying to figure this out before seeing what happens at the open tomorrow cuz I'll be asleep.
MikeS, Rawnoc, someone else out there:
Is it possible some volume in the last 2 weeks of Dec was due to potentially some of these holders getting their shares and then turning around to sell them?
Since that Dec 31 date when we know the shares were distributed, only 5K shares have been traded so I'm guessing this is not a big deal. Or if there were some holders that got shares and wanted to sell that they may have done so earlier than dec 31.
Thoughts?
TIA...
