you know why?

the public isn't in an uproar?

because $700 billion isn't something they can wrap their heads around

but they can wrap their heads around the pittance in comparison sought by the big 3

If the Congress was smart
they would put together a bailout pkg up to around $100 billion with a forced plan to create more fuel efficient vehicles and $66 billion of it in stages going into accomplishing this and make the big 3 bid with plans and designs and factory follow thru and show new jobs created etc

THAT would stimulate the hell out of the economy.......
not road and bridge work
