Thanks Idaho - I seem to recall that either Baxter or Halo did put a figure on the pediatric ER dehydration market - something like $200m from memory. But presumably the Hylenex version would be cheaper than an IV. I have to say that I was a little sceptical when I heard the figure but perhaps after what you say they are right.
As for your other potential uses for Hylenex I am wondering if they are so obviously why Baxter haven't trialled these. Two years ago Baxter were proclaiming Hylenex in the same way that you are but somewhere down the line they seemed to lose interest. The expected trials were not carried out and to be honest I thought the whole project was going to be scuppered. We are only hearing now about the pediatric ER dehydration market - as far as I am aware they are not trialling anything else. So are Baxter serious this time around? I certainly hope so but I remain sceptical after the last two years where really you have to say that they have given Halo the run around.
