#15798 RE: oldberkeley #15765

Oldberkley,

I didn't mean to mislead you. I used the submarine metaphor becuase scotty kept posting the same lie over and over again. He kept saying that the EMEA approval wasn't real because it was forced by lawyers and that the EMEA becamse pissed off so they hindering rATIII sales in Europe. Of course this is non-sense and that is why I used the submarine metaphor. I tried to explain this to him many times but he kept lying.

This is what I wrote to Scotty to explain why he is completely wrong.

<What happened was that the EMEA intially rejected the application because a filtration step was added at the final step of rATIII processing for the cases where pregnant women were being treated. The EMEA wanted to exclude this data since it wasn't the same process as was used to purify rATIII for other patients. GTCB appealed by the normal proceedures set up by the EMEA, and the appeal ruling went in favor of GTCB and approval, as GTCB wanted all the data to be used. Leo then went about negotiating with European countries for sales. rATIII sales are affected by negotiations wih individual countries for price and distribution. They are most certainly not affected by super-secret restrictions put in place by a pissed off EMEA.>

This is what Dew wrote to him.

<Scotty, this is very simple: The EMEA has nothing whatsoever to do with how drugs are marketed, priced, reimbursed, and sold. Those things are the responsibilities of the individual member countries. End of discussion.>

Scotty kept repeating his lies so I had enough of him. I started to use simplistic analogies to see if I could get through his thick skull but I was unable to so used the submarine analogy to mock him. I then put him on ignore

<Perhaps scotty is too confused because there are drugs involved so he needs an anology. This is for you scottyboy so you might finally grasp hold of reality. You want to learn how to drive. You take the necessary steps, read about the rule and take lessons on the road behind the wheel. You bring all the form to the DMV, and take the written test and then go behind the wheel for the actual driving test. You pass both and now have a drivers licence to drive automobiles. Congratulations. You are not allowed to drive motorcycles or big rigs but only private automobiles. You go home and celebrate then start looking for a car to buy. The DMV doesn't care whether you buy a new car or a used car. They don't care whether you make a good deal or get swindled when you buy a car. They just certified that you met all the requirements needed to operate a car. The rest is up to you. Do you understand this? If so, go back and read what Dew just wrote and you will see why most board readers think you are either crazy, clueless, a basher or perhaps all three.>
