I appreciated the comments, Captain Crunch's in particular providing the trading information on ask and bid. The fact that it went off at the ask, most of the trading, is different than I expected. I can't deduce too much from it but it does raise the possibility that someone was "buying" rather than selling. Sound truly crazy in light of the price decline. I hesitate to make too much of the ask-bid distinction because I have learned that these things are not always as they appear. I must admit that I felt bad about the price decline yesterday, however much I have been expecting the worst for some time. I guess when bad things actually come about, it is different than merely expecting them. This new information about the trading from the Captain does at least give me a glimmer...however ill advised it is.
