Mr Wizard a1a

#31169 RE: Grande25 #31166

Red herring (logical fallacy), a deliberate attempt to change a subject or divert an argument

Mr. Wizard is relying on "form data" that was entered during registration to the Central Contract Registration which is NOT the way to verify organizational structure.

You already accept that Global Detector is a sole proprietorship - Why divert to "form data"?- because you then say:

"It's already well known that a "sole proprietorship" CAN BE structured under a parent company to reduce risk of expanding operations and simplify the tax and accounting process."

Think about it. If you were a corporation (like Paradigm) and wanted to make another company, a sole proprietorship (like Global Detector) a subsidiary, how could you do it?

There is no stock to buy to get control. If you buy all the assets, it belongs to you and is no longer a sole proprietorship.

A subsidiary is about control. A sole proprietorship is under the sole control of the proprietor. There can be no other master.

In your view of Global Detector being subsidiary, could Jim Dahl quit? Who would become the sole proprietor then? Who would say?
