I noticed Rep John Dingle (D-Michigan) was unseated yesterday from his very powerful Environmental chairmanship position by Rep Henry Waxman (D-VA). Dingle is very pro-auto industry, naturally, and religiously fought EVERY environmental improvement Congress tried to enforce on the industry. There's enough blame to go all around. Let's not forget the tax break The Decider gave to buyers of large SUVs/large trucks - the auto industry loved it, the oil industry really loved it, and of course buyers fell for it...Then the bottom fell out.

I believe Barack Obama will surprise many people, albeit some will never admit it. And yes, I agree he displays leadership qualities - a much needed change for this country.

Did Obama say the auto companies should go into chapter 11 ??

I missed it ..

I was impressed with Obama taking the initiative to suggest CH 11 is the best way to go, knowing the Unions do not want that. That is being a leader.
