the progress in iraq is no mirage, and it has made us safer.....period!..........in the "war on terror", the only logical first choice was to take out the #1 state sponsored terrorist...........saddam supported it, sponsored it, and committed it, so one needs to ask, was saddam a terroist?.....yes
and by taking out saddam, we took the fight from our backyard to their backyard........al qaeda's fight is not just against america, it is against freedom itself, which is why al qaeda is fighting so hard in iraq
they know if the seeds of freedom are allowed to be watered and nourished in the heart of the mideast, freedom becomes the road to al qaeda's destruction......it is also why the escalation of that fight is happening in saudi arabia.......as freedom takes place in iraq, it becomes the first domino in the region, with the second being the saudis, who's royals have at least been willing to entertain the idea from many in that country who are promoting basic political reforms, including the movement towards elections
even al-sadr has seen the light of freedom, which is a far cry from those here, so overcome with political hatred, that they have become blind to their own history's freedom, and the fight to accomplish it......y'all are not only spoiled by our freedoms, but it's obvious that freedom is a reality y'all take for granted
