haven't we, as a species won the battle of supremecy over the planet------that inevitable growth you speak of?

We should jump up on the tables and dance the Mash Potato in celebration of expanding the human population to 6.72B

Then call it quits and figure out how we can back it down to one or two billions tops.

Seriously though, Peak Oil, Global Warming, Wall Street meltdown. Can't wait til Christmas!

I should have also mentioned that besides being generally against the whole obsession with economic growth to the detriment of health and happiness of the human race I don't think the measures of growth being used pass the smell test.
