Winchester or Marlin are pretty much your two choices. Marlins are a little cheaper but, still a sturdy gun. Don't own any, I'm a bolt action man myself.

If you dont mind spening the money - get a Cimmeron. I have one in 45 70 - its a hoot - and attractive. Im prety happy with both of my Henry's as well - have a 22 and 44.
