It's a little too soon to be talking Mike Leach replacements

The folks in Arizona have already started a coaching search for a replacement for Texas Tech's Mike Leach. Problem is, he's still employed as the Red Raiders' head man, last I checked.
They've identified Arizona offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Sonny Dykes as a potential replacement. Makes sense. He's the former co-offensive coordinator at Tech. Dykes, who graduated at Lubbock Coronado, is the son of Texas Tech coaching legend Spike Dykes, who won a school-record 82 games. Spike Dykes took over before the Independence Bowl in 1986 and went 82-67-1 before he retired after the 1999 season.
Leach replaced Spike Dykes and the Red Raiders' 10-0 start this year has him approaching Tech's all-time wins mark with a career record of 75-37. Leach's next win will move him into a second-place tie with Pete Cawthon, who went 76-32-6 from 1930-40.
Did you know that Sonny Dykes was an assistant football coach at Richardson Pearce in 1994?
But before we crown Sonny Dykes the next head coach of the Red Raiders, let's give Tech athletic director Gerald Myers a chance to re-sign him to a new five-year contract at the end of the regular season and give Leach the chance to say "yes" or "no" to the offer and/or those that could evenutally come from the vacancies left at Tennessee and Washington.
