Well, I was very surprised INTC did not fall at stay down at the open. Amazing that it was up a few cents on very high volume. Like 40m shares in the first hour.
Well, now I am convinced unemployment in the US will get to 8% or higher. The auto companies bailout will come with strings attached that will require downsizing, layoffs and lower pay. That will reduce employment by at least 100,000 high pay workers.
Intel will have to adjust to this lowered demand and close older plants, otherwise profits will disappear. I don't see how AMD can survive, or how Abu D will actually fund a new plant for AMD in NY.
