I've been on IB for going on 3 years now and have never had a problem with their trading platform, logging on or otherwise, that I can recall.

Sorry to cut in...

IB seems to do some kind of back-up every night between midnight (eastern time) and 12:40 - 1:00AM. During that period you are disconnected and cannot login.

That's the delay Lee bitches about periodically.<g>
It's definitely annoying (as futures keep on trading while you are blind) but it's a limitation you learn to live with.

The range of different products you can trade at IB is astonishing. (And dangerous for your purse <g> as many of them are highly leveraged)

I would not put too much emphasis on Lee not being able to log in to IB. He is the ultimate end user, totally mystified by operating systems, spyware, viruses, etc. and operating hours for the IB platform. It is always down for maintenance for an hour or so every night. Hmmmm, kinda like the rest of his life ! If it weren't for Suze he would be living under an overpass somewhere. LOL

They do not. Lee should know by now that one can't log on to IB from the period 23:30 - 01:00 or so.
