that is what i was told by ron smith, now keep in mind that at that time they were purchasing the j-plates from vetco gray for 40,000 and they made the rest, but now they are making their own j-plates along with the carousel and umbillical which at that time was a 140,000 dollars per unit. but we are seeing much more complicated and custom type configurations of the lsfl's ect.. which imo would mean even bigger dollars
also more importantly would be the service revenue that also comes with these. the carousels that go out and come back are on a dayrate basis @ 1500 per day and another 1500 for the service crew.
it's just my opinion but i dont believe that all the carousels and sleds are part of that million dollar order. the math does not add up, i believe there is a second order or they have some that will be going out on service calls . given the circumstances out there after the last two hurricanes i can see how just about any service type equipment would be in high demand right now. we will see if my instincts are correct as i'm also calling for dpdw to close out this year with a bang.
