enemem et al., there are so few people trading this stock today and in recent days that I wouldn't attach much significance to any technical indicators. The future for this stock is, in my opinion, going to be event-driven, i.e., what the exact terms of the RD deal are, assuming of course there is a deal. If Cortex can get $30M upfront, that will give them enough money to pay operating expenses for 2 years at the current burn rate (I know I'm repeating myself here). That will buy the company enough time to bring along CX1739 for ADHD and a high impact for other, more serious neurodegenerative, neurological, and psychiatric disorders. Depending on success in these future clinical trials, the stock will rise.

Although it is unpleasant to sit holding this stock while it drifts familiarly lower, I think there is nothing to do but wait. Many of us have cast our lot and significant amounts of cash with the future success of Cortex Pharmaceuticals as a company and our investments hinge simply and purely on the clinical successes of the various AMPAKINE compounds in the company's pipeline.

I think the key is volume. The close below the pennant formation is indeed troublesome, but it's been on comparatively light volume. I'm not heading for the exits yet...but I might on Monday. The S&P 500 is perched right on a critical support level (about 875) and if it heads further south from here, I'm cashing out of everything.
