The loaning institute would not make to loan to the company directly but would make the loan with personal guarantees by the principals. This is not an uncommon practice for smaller growth companies.
How in God's name could a loan by an insider be viewed as a negative. The problem comes when the insider is loaned money by the company. Check out what happened with the Savings & Loan disaster in the 80's. Not one failed from borrowing from insiders. They all failed from loaning to insiders. On top of all this talk we are all speculating about a loan that does not exist. I am impressed by the Calypso people I have seen and researched. This appears to be a young pup company working hard to be a player in a tough business. These message boards can be a decent source of information but also give competitors a chance to bombard the boards will garbage to put doubt in the minds of potential investors.
