I am not too strict, but typically, it is a fixed dollar amount, unless I double the position, then of course it is twice as much. I try not to let any stock go above 10% of the total folio, but last year, there was a time when the bu$$ busted that limit by a wide margin, till the profits were taken and then it was cut back to size.
