YB I think (hope) they are more likely to use available funds to design, build and sell their products - ie to finance growth of their business. If they deliver on the opportunity and promise that appears to be theirs (ours) for the taking the shorts will be in a world of hurt.
Your idea is nontheless interesting. The message to 'the market' they would send buying their bonds or stock could be quite dramatic, particularly if it coincided with a big earnings/free cash flow jump. This would be particlularly bold as they have a $2.5 Billion capital project underway.
