RS? Quick question Jim.. Let's say they do inact a reverse split.. Why do you claim at that point there is nothing anyone can do.. whether a stock splits 2 for 1 or does a reverse split your shareholder value remains the same. Now I agree from a perception point of view a reverse split is never a good thing. However, if there were issues with negative shorting or market maker issues the mere process of inacting a reverse splits helps identify the true number of shares because each brokerage house has to complete the rebalancing and reformatting of those shares. Unfortunately, history tells us that when a company reverse splits the trend of that company usually results in dillution. However, if that reversal creates a market that otherwise wasn't there each shareholder could see an increase in value because of new investors entering the market. So whether you have 100 shares worth a $1 or 10 shares worth a $1 you still have your dollar.. no gain no loss..
