Endub, yep, you get it. and I get what you are saying. and I didn't even think to wonder about the converted shares, I 'assumed' they would be of the new date on conversion back to common. ... well, that's something else I'll have to find out. You find out anything on it and I'd appreciate an update. Thanks.

For long-term capital gains, the holding period starts with the day that you bought the original common shares. It currently takes 12 months.
