i have no problem with people being "christians" as long as it's not brought into public politics... that's why the muslims have so many problems, their politics and religion are inseperable... a recipe for disaster
I do know that according to scripture he can and will not allow sin into heaven, that is why he sent His sin substitute Jesus to bear our sins on the cross.
are you sure youre catholic?... jesus wasnt the central figure in catholicism to my knowledge... mary was... how many prayers in the catholic faith are about jesus...there may be a few, but there not the most common..
theres:
hail mary
our father
an act of contrition
the apostles creed..
are the main prayers..
and to my knowledge the 1st three noted above are still the prayers given for pennance after confession...
christs is part of it and the masses are built around the eucharists and eating the body and blood, but the saints, joseph and god are also mentioned often..
the nuns are usually called sister mary something (insert female name), and the priest are just called father xxxxx, not father jesus something...
i'll admit, im not a practicing catholic any longer but you dont forget it...
what brand of catholic were you raised as? things must have changed alot...
