#68181 RE: F6 #68175

did you hear about the pulpit project this weekend.. around 30 evangelical churches were supposed to tell their flocks who to vote for as a challenge to the separations of church and state.. apparently their other goals are to be able to give up to 20% of their coffers to a political candidate and to act as a lobbying group involving political matters important to them.. they hope the irs comes after them so they can elevate their cause up to the supreme court.. presumably after palin is in office so she can shepard the movement i suspect... the sect of christianity behind this movement are the dominionists... they want to turn america into the middle east, where religion divides the people.. my god is better than your god is the battle they are pursuing.... people better start paying attention to this movement... i can see down the ways a little where denial of services will be common practice.. if you dont believe like they do or as the leaders say, you will be considered an outcast.... a religious test will be the norm...

bill mahr was on the view today (my sisters favorite show).. he says you mean to tell me that a 900 year old man gathered up two of every animal, every tick, every fly, placed them on an ark and commanded them have to sex... and one of the woman host on the show said "yes i do"... unbelievable that such ignorance based on pure myth still prevails in this world..

F6- Thank you for the welcome, and

thank you for inviting me to continue posting here, I appreciate it. I wont make any further comments on the nature of this board and how it's run. I agree with you, it's a violation of TOU and I appreciate your comments and your allowing the post in question to remain. I think you're doing a fine job here :)

Blind conviction and blind faith speak to bondage of the [specious] axiom, just as rationalization speaks to an unwillingness to examine counter evidence in any meaningful way. I see both as bondage to the ideal. It's intrinsic among anyone with a fervent belief system, especially when that belief system is offered up without empirical evidence and based on a single source.

I've not found Briboy to be arrogant or impudent on any level that concerns myself at least. I've found a number of his associates to be precisely that however, (reading ahead you'll note) lol. I suppose I welcome Briboy's comments and posts, because he welcomed mine on a parallel board of antitheses here on I-Hub.

I agree with you, I don't like dictators, and theological dictators are the most abhorrent of 'em all. They preen their minions to use the same locutions, and Secularists have heard 'em all!

Cheers, that's the end of my posts for the day.

Thanks again

blind conviction, blind faith, is no excuse for impudent arrogance and presumtion and judgmental prejudices and attempts to dictate the thoughts and lives of others -
