"If it was not for the excessive put buying"

although, as in the note from shaeffer that i posted earlier, a chunk of that put activity could have been selling. (he seems to think its a significant amount of the activity seen now.)

We keep getting statements like "[BRIEFING.COM] Although stocks finished near their lows of the day, the market still put up respectable gains for the session, bolstered by a number of positive fundamental developments..." The pre open indexs were driven to a high open again then the market basically stalled at that level. It has done this many times of late. Is this normal or is something fishy?

FWIW I think your plush cushion is making you a little too complacent on HANS. We now know that the Brandon PTP (one of the insider troika) was a seller of 500,000 shares of that 787,000 lot that sold AH on Wednesday. The other insider has not yet disclosed. Don't yet know the buyer, may be a MF, but it is classic distribution pattern, and I doubt you will see a new annual high print for quite a while. The insiders still have lots of stock to unload and seem to want their profits at these levels. I don't see any solid support at the magic # 20. Looks more like 14 to me.

I have no doubt you will be able to profitably extricate yourself from positions 3 and 4, and maybe even 2. But I think you may be sleeping with that first position for quite a while. I'd be especially concerned if we don't get a new high during the peak summer consumption period.
