Yes sir-ree You can burn vegie oil in a diesel. The forward thinker that Alfred r Diesel was back in the early 1900's in vented the Diesel engine to run on farm oils. He said then, when they switched to petroleum based diesel that eventually the diesel engine will go full circle and run on Farm Oils.
Go figure if we had listened then we wouldn't be in the oil crises Now. LOL

Just FYI, mike...came across an article in our local paper today, that was news to me.

I was unaware of the use of SVO (straight vegetable oil) as a fuel. Apparently one can convert certain diesel engines and pour vegetable oil, new or USED, right into the gas tank. The reason my local paper ran the story, was because a local man had had the conversion done and was in a particularly unique position to benefit from it.

He own the local burger and fries franchise. So he gets all the used vegetable oil he wants for free...LOL..talk about saving money on fuel...
