do some of the PREF rank higher than others? ie do the series with letters closer to "A" rank higher than those closer to "z" or do all prefs rank equally such that ALL the prefs would share in a pool, should one become available? Also, are any of the pref secured by any assets? Thanks.

Question if you buy the preferred stocks and the company is bought out not pulled apart won't you be stuck with the preferreds at the going rate because they won't convert to the new suitor? Is it also possible that you could be left holding if during the Bankruptcy the courts rule you out of the picture all together. I haven't bought preferreds before so I'm trying to gain some understanding. What symbol are they traded under?

Look at the volume, you can buy but can't sell for those preferred shares. It is a high risk, just trade the stock and don't think you buy this stock to prepare for making any claim, right?
