This has probably been covered, I just haven't gotten that far in the chatter, but my husband works in a Gulf Coast refinery, and he came home and told me to fill everything up. Some refineries are still down from Gustav, Texas is likely going to have a lot of refinery damage because of where they are located, and barges can't bring in crude to the ones that ARE functioning because of the storm. He said we will definately see a gasoline shortage - not because the rigs get torn up, but because it takes time to produce the gas from the crude, and once a refinery is shut completely down, even with no damage, it takes days to start it back up.
