What makes this nice is you can ask for references and go see the work they did with out bothering the home owners.
Many people out there out of work who are slick talkers.
Go to their work already done and make sure they walk the talk.

RE EZ2, ..siding repair..

First thing is you need to fix the causes of the problems, otherwise the repairs are just temporary.

IE sounds like there are problems with the roof water run off and flashing problems between the garage roof where it runs into the siding.

Are the cedar siding boards rough cut style or milled / plained flat with square edges. Are they painted, stained (translucent or opaque) or varnished. How old is the house and siding ??

It sounds like you have quite a bit of weathering / patina which will be difficult to duplicate with new wood. If its painted or stained with an opaque stain you could match it all in by repainting all the siding, or at least the whole face of any wall that has repairs.

However I'm gonna guess that its got a translucent stain or varnish / urethane finish (with aged patina) which will be impossible to match. In this case, if its worth it, there is another alternative, expensive and usually only used on historic jobs. Find a face of the house which has enough siding in good shape to do all the repairs with some extra, remove very very carefully. Use it for the repairs, then reside that whole section with new material and match in the patina as best as possible, usually you can get pretty close and its not as noticeable when the whole face is done. The only problem you might have here is different faces weather differently and have varying patina's so this old wood may still not match exactly in different locations but with proper selection of the source site it could be close, I'm guessing.

Just some other ideas to consider.

I take it they are unpainted and stained instead when you say weathered look?
