We have had a couple of companies with the sideview a rear facing cameras over the last 6 or 7 years. The two big companies that are really high tech Are US EXPRESS and MAVERICK. They both have committed to adding the cameras to all there vehicles in the next year or so. That is between the two over 20.000 vehicles. trhe most important they have added is the front and side collision avoidance radar and the adaptive cruise and braking systems. The newest is the anti rollover avoidance system and tieng that in wuith selective abs brake technology. The article I just read has the feds wanting this in all new vehjcles by 2013 as a mandate. Mack truck has already started this with the 2009 year on all new class 8 trucks. Some other novile ideas are the retna readers, Lane deoparture alarms and 3 and 4 screen led cameras on the dash. As is stated there have been a few new companies but they have been unable to stay in the market. Vorad collision avoidance is the longest runner of them all. Anyone of the the smaller ones would be a great candidate and I do know Vorad is dominant and gobbling up the smaller new technologies.
