Does it matter that your beliefs have been the source of incessant argument and ridicule for as long as intelligent men have gathered to debate?
Does this mere fact in any way make you suspect that just possibly you are on a burning boat with no lifeboats?
Are you SURE there is a God out there? When you see all the misery, death, destruction, disease... can you really be certain that your God is a compassionate, loving, kind, gentle being and that we should pay no attention to the fact that he is covered with blood?
Secure? You have just not run up against people willing to prick a little hole in your self-delusion. It is called polite society...totally worthless to lost souls. Remember, only a friend and really concerned, humanitarian type person would tell you you have a booger hanging out your nose. I know it is disgusting, and a non-topic, it is also still hanging there.
