Wasn't the entire premise of IHUB to enable honest forthright conversation and debate about securities of all kinds and qualities? Or downright skullduggery that we can all enjoy?
It really shouldn't really matter if there are professional promoters (doing either negative or positive spin), most of the IHUB audience is immune to this nonsense by now arn't we?

Now that IHUB admin has finally figured out how to manage multiple posting abusers that use the highly popular conversational pro and con argument posting methods by employing Autonomies Dissassembler Technology most of the real danger has ceased. The sheepdogs of yesterday are mute or gagged, or at least mostly redundant and are laughed at heartily.(I can think of a few that I don't see anymore)

As IHUB falls into a category of practically unsuable 'opinion' sites I think its a total waste of time and energy attempting to label the rainmakers and pushers from the great unwashed. Face it, nine out of ten posters never do anything but lose money on speculative stock purchases anyway.

Promoters promote because most sheeple are to lazy to actually read up or even know what they are buying. Its a credo left over from the halcyon day trading days. Its a trading style called following momentum. It will not cease because IHUB MATT wants to separate the cream from the milk and make the cream wear Promoters badges.

Quite simply IHUB's entire business model is not about separating promoters from the promotee's, its about selling ads and selling subscriptions. Anything else is simply an attempt to silence critics that will moan and berate WHATEVER occurs.

Like the judgement value of membermarks before this, its another placation that will be discussed ad nauseum and will never really make any difference to the outcome. The more internal regulation you throw at this, the more disfunctional IHUB will become. The more disfunctional this becomes the more fun we all have using IHUB.

My vote __ leave it alone. Its not broken IMO.

And like someone else mentioned, suppose I am paid to post about WXYZ, but not paid to post about ZYXW?

My moniker would show I am a paid promoter, but I wouldn't be on that board.(ZYXW)

But you might be trolling for a job pumping ZYXW by posting on that board. Willy Whizzo used to do that...

If, ands and buts don't matter in this case, Janice, IMO.

Also IMO, Ihub is stepping onto a slippery slope.

They say that they are are not a regulatory agency, yet they are going to label posters if they disclose that they are being paid to promote.

As I suggested to Matt, the effort should be expended exposing those that don't disclose.

You and I both know who they are, but unless they admit it, our hands are tied. Matt doesn't want to hear anything about our suspicions.
