#2319 RE: gempicker #2318

Who says anything makes sense here? Did it make any sense for Salna to not file the appropriate information to continue trading?

NFEI has another huge project where they can continue drilling to prove up the reserves there for a Joint Venture prospect. They are busy with other things IMHO. They aren't going to withhold any money from Salna and irritate him. He is the big fish in the Slatterdome, NFEI has to sell stock to get drilling money. If anything, maybe NFEI can't raise any money right now and Salna sure wouldn't fund them also. That was always a concern of mine with credit as tight as it is.

Yes Salna's Co. in Egypt is pumping between 3000-3500 barrels a day. Last I heard, he plunked down $16 million for another huge lease next door to very high production wells. Hopefully he cares enough to do the honorable thing here.

I think he is wealthy. It's reported that he just paid $175k for a painting. Here is the note:

Tony & Carmela's $175K picture
Seems Federico Castelluccio, who played the studly Italian hit man Furio Giunta on The Sopranos, is also a best-selling artist. Castelluccio, whose character is besotted with Carmela Soprano, recently sold a painting of James Gandolfini and Edie Falco to Toronto oil executive Robert Salna for a whopping $175,000 - the highest price for any memorabilia from the HBO mob hit.
