BACKGROUND*-
Tracy W. Krohn Founded W&T Offshore Inc. in 1983 and has been it's Chief Executive Officer and President since 1983. Mr. Krohn served as Chief Executive Officer of Aviara Energy Corporation in Houston, Texas from 1996 to 1997. He began his career as a Petroleum Engineer and Offshore Drilling Supervisor with Mobil Oil Corporation. Mr. Krohn served as Treasurer of W&T Offshore Inc. since 1997 until July 2006. He has been actively involved in the oil and gas business since ... 1978. Prior to founding W&T, Mr. Krohn served as Senior Engineer with Taylor Energy. He has been Chairman of W&T Offshore Inc. since 2004. Mr. Krohn also served as Chairman of Aviara Energy Corporation in Houston, Texas from 1996 to 1997. He serves as a Director of W&T Offshore Inc. He graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1978.

-----------------------------------with mr krohn background it would be of my opinion that he is a man that is very familar with the oil services industry and would say that a purchase of 5.7 million shares of dpdw is a huge vote of confidence in what our management is doing, based on his vast background in oil i wouldnt be surprised if him and ron are also very close friends ,as far as w&t buying out dpdw i doubt that happens . ron smith has a dream of taking this company to the top and at the rate they are building dpdw up i would imagine that goal will become quite attainable in the very near future(JMHO)
