Clark: Many hospitals don't have committee meetings in July and/or August due to vacations by MD's on the committee's. At my hospital there was no July meeting. Also King sales reps are going to fight tooth and nail to keep recothrom of the formulary. Witness the unexpected visit to me by the King rep. She was very persistent in trying to dissuade me from asking for it on the formulary. That said Dew is right it probably won't get higher than $200 million/year in sales and that number will likely take years to reach.

Clark, Your marketing ideas seem spot on target to me. Hope Zgen is doing them or paying attention to the board!

As to using curves to extrapolate from, I agree with your comments on the limitations and the big differences from doc-prescribed drugs. My gut in listening to the call and vaguely recalling the prior call was that things were slowing. Your analysis appears to confirm this. But as our real-life surgeon xyrmd tells us, and as Carter said, it's perhaps still a waiting game for many of the P&Ts.

Recothrom was never going to be a big value driver, as we've always agreed. With luck it has not been a big distraction either, except for speculators and analysts. Pity it could not contribute cash to the development program this year - actually costing cash - but they now have financing in place, prudently. Doug Williams seems to be running the clinical programs intelligently.

Zgen is really about the three clinical programs and your continued scrutiny of those will be much appreciated!
