Basically so, except I believe the earth is as old as Adam/man would be since it ALL was created in the same week.
A proof I have come across is also: that IF mankind was mill/billionssssss of years old- we by now, would be sitting on piles of human skeletons. As well as other earth life forms. We are not.
Also, ALL KNOWN LIVING MAJOR WORLD "THINGS" ARE DATED AT WHAT AGE APROX?? Around -4,500-5k years old. AKA- were the flood ended and life stared over. =) Also life/the number of people co-insides with the semi short 4,500 yr time frame since Noah indeed. then again....4,500/6,000 years is a longggggggg time. Only a 1k years ago- IT WAS VIKING TIME. LOL OUCH! Computers, modern vehicles are only 100 yrs old.
