he responded very well to 9/11 and avoided the disconnections associated with liquidity. no doubt. on the rate front, i think he could have gone a little softer. but, with the deflation threat, i suppose he wanted to err on the downside. produced a couple hellacious short covering rallies. i remember ntap +40% in one day.
