>>Greenspan's fault? Only in that he is the master of bubble creation that is causing asset imbalances throughout our nation.<<
only Greenspan's fault for the bubble and disparity of wealth?
what about the investment bankers, investment houses, brokerage firms that pushed all those junk stocks?
all the stock touters, such as Cramer who said in Feb 2000 that "valuations don't matter"?
what about the accounting firms that helped in the outright fraud and twisted bookkeeping?
what about all the CEO's who robbed the coffers of their own companies?
what about the CEO's who give themselves multi-million dollar bonuses while shipping off their employee jobs to foreign countries?
what about the lobbyists who have kept the non-expensing of options rule alive because of their power and probably lining the pockets of lawmakers to keep it intact?
what about the SEC who just gives a little slap on the wrist fine to various brokerage houses and investment firms for wrongdoing, which to them is just simply a "cost of doing business"?
what about the tax laws that favor the higher income bracket?
and finally, what about the so-called "investors" themselves?... you only have yourself to blame if your greed and ego drives you to accumulate more debt than you can afford, and buying stocks on margin is virtually the same as going to the casino... "oh shit! i didn't know the coffee was hot!!"
damn, and i didn't even mention the lawyers
