A while back, Howard Hughs posted a story about Los Angeles and inner city farming. LA, as you will read, took a giant step backwards at a critical time.
As I recall, after this fiasco, LA offered the people a farm area under some high tension wires, most likely to incinerate the people who are the audacity of preparing for Peak Oil farming.
