It is almost a crime that Americans are focusing primarily on Iraq and Israel because there is a horribly insidious picture unfolding outside their myopic vision.
Yes, they take money allocated for a specific purpose and reroute the funds. That these plans for an all out war are still being aggressively pursued to me is an indication that Bush must be certain of reelection.
Thank you guys for posting here, I took on some additional responsibilities but I will be around as much as possible.
I was putting together some thoughts on this one particular civilian death.
When told by a reporter about the Web site, Berg's father, brother and sister grasped one another and slowly dropped to the ground in their front yard, where they wept quietly while holding each other.
"I knew he was decapitated before," Michael Berg said. "That manner is preferable to a long and torturous death. But I didn't want it to become public."
Michael Berg states that the manner of death, decapitation, is preferable to a long and torturous death such as that by depleted uranium to which the United States has condemned among others the civilian women and children of Iraq.
Friends and foes in the fallout zone are destined to a long downhill spiral of chronic illness and disability. Kidney dysfunction, lung damage, bloody stools, extreme fatigue, joint pain, unsteady gait, memory loss and rashes and, ultimately, cancer and premature death await those exposed to DU. #msg-1197437 #msg-2984969
How many people while being decimated by the pain of a terminal disease have pleaded for a swift end to their torture?
As Michael Berg would testify those that Bush exposed to depleted uranium, both Iraqis and our own troops, destined to be slowly eaten away by radiation will probably at some point beg for days possibly years for the luxury of decapitation or some such rapid close.
Unfortunately what Berg knows the simple American mind apparently cannot recognize without the aid of pictures.
With photographs, preferably time-lapse to truly capture the slow arduous torture to which we have subjected these people, perhaps the people of the United States will also recognize that Berg was the victim of the lesser of two evils.
The fact that such a monstrous choice is being discussed is an example of the disturbing regression into which the world under the leadership of the United States as sole superpower and role model has sunk.
